GOUSI x BACCHI

Some collaborations begin with a conversation, others with curiosity.

This one started with a digital charm.

Over the past few months, Leonie (Eleonoradabacchi) and I have been exploring how a virtual object become part of a reclaimed textile transforming a simple idea into a limited edition of GOUSI Mini Bags. Leo's work often explores the connection between digital worlds and physical textiles. What began as a playful 3D charm - i mean, she was experimenting for hours (!!) with shapes, proportions, and even versions featuring our names -  soon sparked a new idea.

What if this digital object could leave its mark on reclaimed denim?

We started experimenting with laser engraving, translating the rendered charm into a subtle illustration directly on the fabric. Rather than printing or embroidering, the laser permanently reveals the design within the denim itself, creating a detail that feels quiet, playful, and unexpected.

Every piece of reclaimed denim reacts differently to the laser. Finding the right balance between contrast, depth, and texture became an essential part of the process. The final result is a delicate charm illustration engraved directly into the fabric-a small detail that gives each Mini Bag its own character while offering a new perspective on reclaimed denim.
